MEET OUR FOSTER CHILDREN
This program started when three of the children we worked with in the local children’s home ran away, and were placed in a government ran orphanage. A former missionary friend of ours could not stand the thought of these three children in the orphanage, and began taking steps to get them out and into her home as foster children.
We are thrilled to welcome Carlos and Jenny to the SHIFT Missions family as they foster these three children from Honduras. They are all enrolled in a bilingual school and doing great. They are living in a small town about an hour from the capital of Honduras, Tegucigalpa.
Since opening up foster care through SHIFT many others are approaching us with opportunities to grow this side of the ministry. We are currently praying through what the next steps are with SHIFT and foster care.
